MEDALS Student Advisors

A Student Advisor Staff will assist the Executive Staff in the delivery of the annual MEDALS conference.  MEDALS would not be possible without the assistance of the Advisor Staff.  There are three areas of student advisors, including peer, chaperone, and technical advisors.  Please review the details of each position and considering joining our staff.

PEER ADVISORS

Serve as group leaders and insightful sources of information for a group of 10-12 high school students. Advisors are mandated and encouraged to guide, uplift, interact, and aid the high school participants throughout the conference. Becoming a peer advisor is also a time sensitive position, therefore it is REQUIRED to be 100% dedicated with high energy and positive attitude.  Peer advisors provide a major role during the conference because of their close interaction with students attending.  Special and critical attention will be given to the selection of these advisors.  Time requirement DURING the conference is Friday (November 21st) 11:00am-12:00am and Saturday (November 22nd) 8:00am-2:30pm).

CHAPERONE ADVISORS

Responsible for assisting parents and counselors by sharing their experiences in transitioning from high school to college, interacting in group discussions, and directing them throughout the course of the conference.

TECHNICAL ADVISORS
