MEDALS 2014

Maximizing Educational Development through Academic and Leadership Skills (MEDALS) allows high school students the unique experience of viewing college opportunities and Texas A&M University from a student perspective.
Serve as group leaders and insightful sources of information for a group of 10-12 high school students. Advisors are mandated and encouraged to guide, uplift, interact, and aid the high school participants throughout the conference.

PROGRAM UPDATE

Dear Past Participants -

Due to rising costs associated with sustaining a program for minors, it has been decided to put MEDALS on hold for the 2014 year to provide time for evaluating the sustainability of the program.  This was a very difficult decision and was made only after multiple strategy meetings and thorough reviews of different proposed plans for the 2014 conference.

We appreciate the support you have provided by bringing students to MEDALS in the past and as we begin to evaluate the future of the program, we may visit with you for feedback and ideas.

For those of you that are still interested in bringing students to Texas A&M, there are a variety of programs hosted year round for prospective students. For detailed information about these programs, please visit http://admissions.tamu.edu/events. In addition, the Office of Admissions has Prospective Student Centers around the state which offer programs in the community along with opportunities to participate in programs offered in College Station at Texas A&M. These programs are for select students and do require participants to meet certain requirements. For details about programs coordinated by the Office of Admissions, please contact a Prospective Student Center near you. Prospective Student Center contact information can be found at http://admissions.tamu.edu/psc.

Sincerely,
